After graduating from the University of Winnipeg, Val became an instructor of anatomy and exercise physiology. She later jointed the Discover Vision Therapy team in the spring of 2016. Trained and certified through the COVT&R (Canadian Optometrists in Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation) Foundation, Val is passionate and dedicated to helping people. She particularly enjoys working with students who have learning disabilities, children on the autism spectrum and those who have suffered traumatic brain injury.
In her spare time Val enjoys live theatre, music, the arts, hiking, kayaking, visiting with friends and family and volunteering with Prostate Cancer Canada and at events in her community.
